Geçtiğimiz Perşembe, 11 Mart tarihinde dört Sol Hareketi üyesi, polis tarafından tutuklanıp, AKP Gençlik Örgütü adı altında faaliyet gösteren bir örgütün asmış olduğu “Love Erdoğan” posterlerine yapılan müdahalelerle ilgili ifadeleri için karakola götürüldüler. Karakolda ifadeleri alınırken ortaya çıkan video kayıtlarından posterlere müdahale edenlerin bu şahıslar olmadığı ortaya çıkmasına rağmen haklarında “uygunsuz hareket” ve “gizli ittifak” suçlaması ile dava getirildi. “Love Erdoğan” konusuyla ilgili yürüttülen sosyal medya protestolarını susturmak maksadı ile bu davalar okunduğu açıkca ortadır.
Aslında provokatif davranan bu pankartları asan AKP Gençlik Örgütüdür. Mali protokolün imzlanarak Kıbrıs’ın Kuzeyin’de yaşayan tüm topluma keskin neo-liberal uygulamların dayatıldığı bir dönemde “ Love Erdoğan” kampanyası sürdürtmek kendi başına bir provokasyondur. AKP tarafından cumhur başkanlığı seçimlerine müdahalesi ve arkasından gelen siyasi politik müdahaleler ve AKP tarafından dayatılan ekonomik politikalar, bu konjonktürde “Love Erdoğan” kampanyası bir provokasyondur!
Polis tarafından yapılan tutuklamalar yasa dışıdır! Bu tutuklanmaların amacı iktidarı, Türkiye’deki rejimi ve uygulmaya çalıştıkları politikaları eleştirenleri susturmaktır. Susmuyoruz!
Dayanışma maksadı ile Sol Hareketin yanında yer alıyoruz, ve “Love Erdoğan” kampanyası ve AKP’nin Kıbrıs’ta uyguladığı politikalar karşı mücadele veren tüm güçler, sol partiler, sendikalar ve platformlar ile birlikte mücadele vermeye devam edeceğiz.

We stand in solidarity with Sol Hareket members – We will not tolerate repression from AKP regime.
Thursday the 11th of March, two members and the secretary of sol hareket were arrested by the police and questioned for the graffiti on the banners of AKP youth. Even though there is video evidence that they didn’t do it, they were persecuted for provoking vandalism because they campaigned against the banners on the social media.
In reality AKP youth is being provocative with their banners. While the protocols with Turkey were negotiated—protocols which will implement harsh neoliberal measures to all the population living in northern Cyprus—AKP youth decided to run a “Love Erdogan” campaign! This is a provocation in itself towards the population, which has suffered economically from the policies imposed by AKP, and also politically, after the intervention of the Turkish regime into the presidential elections and the entire political system over the last few months.
The arrest and accusations from the police were illegal and happened without evidence. The goal of the arrests is to silence all the voices that criticize the government, the regime in Turkey and the policies they implement. We will not be silenced!
We stand in solidarity with Sol Hareket members, and we will fight with all the forces, trade unions, platforms and parties of the left that showed their solidarity and their willingness to fight against the campaign and against the imposition of AKP’s politics in Cyprus.
